Dr. Dana Alsulaiman, Assistant Professor of Material Science and Engineering, was selected for the MIT Technology Review Innovators Under 35 MENA list 2021.
Prof. Dana was awarded in recognition of her work on a “functional hydrogel-coated microneedle platform, which enables rapid and non-invasive sampling and detection of cancer-specific biomarkers from the skin’s interstitial fluid. This makes the technology more amenable for point of care applications, all while offering more specific and reliable clinicopathological information.” (
