Abstract
This talk highlights the importance of making scientific research understandable to the public and will cover different ways to share scientific findings and provide easy-to-follow tips on writing and organizing research papers. Attendees will learn how to create clear and well-structured documents, including how to write effective abstracts, introductions, methods, and results and discussions. By improving these skills, researchers can ensure their work is easily understood and has a greater impact, helping both the public and other scientists grasp their important discoveries.
Biography
Sara earned her PhD in Chemistry from Università degli Studi dell’Insubria in Como. She holds certificates in Higher Education Teaching from Harvard’s Bok Center for Teaching and Learning and Scientific Writing from KAUST and has gained international experience across six countries. With over ten years in Academia, Sara has worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Leipzig University and KAUST, where she also worked as a Scientific Editor from 2021 to 2024. Currently, she is a Faculty Affairs Specialist. Sara remains passionate about scientific writing and believes that effectively communicating research is a crucial skill and responsibility for scientists.
