Chinese Chemical Society (CCS) Fellow 2024 - Professor Nikos Hadjichristidis

Following the endorsement of Professor Ben Zhong Tang, a prominent member of the CCS Standing Board, and subsequent election by all 46 members of the board, KAUST Professor Nikos Hadjichristidis has been elected Honorary Fellow of the Chinese Chemical Society (CCS). This distinguished fellowship represents the highest honor granted by the CCS, awarded exclusively to international chemists who have significantly advanced the field of chemistry and contributed to the progress of Chinese chemistry and the CCS.
 
Nikos Hadjichristidis, an Ibn Alhaytham Distinguished Professor at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and of the American Chemical Society, Division of Polymer Chemistry. His notable career has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Hermann F. Mark Medal, the UK Macro Group Medal, the ACS National Award for Polymer Chemistry, the ACS Chemistry of Thermoplastic Elastomers Award, and the International Award of the Japanese Society of Polymer Science.
 
At KAUST, Professor Hadjichristidis holds a distinguished position in the Physical Science and Engineering Division and directs the Polymer Synthesis Laboratory. His research specializes in the architectural design of complex macromolecules, as well as the development of innovative polymers for diverse applications including Circular Polymer Economy, demonstrating his leading role on the field of chemistry, internationally.
