The Materials Science and Applied Physics (MSAP) Program offers graduate degrees in Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) and Applied Physics (AP) , providing students with a solid foundation in both fundamental principles and innovative applications.

 

Materials Science and Engineering (MSE)

The MSE track equips students with the critical knowledge and interdisciplinary skills needed to solve global challenges in:

  • Sustainability
  • Renewable Energy
  • Nanotechnology and Nanoelectronics
  • Biomaterials
  • Low-Power Computing
  • Advanced Materials Characterization
This program emphasizes both theoretical understanding and hands-on experience in cutting-edge research areas.

 

Applied Physics (AP)

The AP track fosters scientific discovery and technological innovation by offering a comprehensive education that bridges theoretical physics and practical engineering applications.   • Sunday and Tuesday: 10 am - 12 pm and 2 pm - 4 pm.
  • Thursday: 10 am - 12 pm.
Mazen is here to address students academic questions, evaluate their progress, and update them on current university policies and procedures. He is the first point of contact for all academic life and KAUST-related questions or issues. He is the liaison between students and faculty, the Registrar Office, Graduate Affairs, Admissions, the Associate Dean and the Dean.  ​​
