Publishing your research and the editorial process

Abstract

In this talk, he will provide invaluable insights on the inner workings of Joule, from the publishing process to what editors look for, and tips on how to write impactful papers. It should be useful to any researcher or student interested in publishing their work in scientific journals.

Biography

Dr. Yohan Dall’Agnese is the Editor-in-Chief at Joule (Cell Press), a monthly international journal publishing the finest peer-reviewed research in the energy fields (batteries, photovoltaics, fuel cells, catalysis, energy policy, etc.). Before joining Joule, he obtained 2 Ph.D. degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from Université Paul Sabatier (France) and Drexel University (USA), on the study of new 2D materials for batteries and supercapacitors, followed by postdoctoral research in Japan on electrocatalysis for fuel cells. Then, he was appointed as an Associate Professor at Jilin University (China) and Lecturer at the University College London (UK), leading research on energy storage and conversion, then he moved to the publishing industry as Senior Editor at Nature.
