Abstract

In this study we demonstrate the synthesis of star-shaped poly(ethylene oxide)-block-poly(L,D-lactide) stereocomplexes block copolymers with three and four arms using “core-first” strategy. The obtained materials were characterized via size exclusion chromatography (SEC), nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR), Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), and X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements. The results demonstrate that the stereocomplexes produced display superior characteristics compared to existing analogous materials.
