The design & exploration of Trianglamine-based Supramolecular Assemblies and Porous Organic Materials

?Abstract:

Trianglamines are large triangular chiral macrocycles that were first synthesized by Gawronski’s group in Poland in the year 2000. Despite their unique properties; triangular pore shape, chirality, symmetric structure and tuneable pore size, they are yet still a poorly researched class of macrocycles today. Trianglamines have yet a big role to play as macrocyclic precursors to build increasingly complex supramolecular assemblies and caged porous organic structures.

My work includes design functionalization of these trianglamines to promote supramolecular assembly and formation porous organic cages.
