This award will be presented at the SPE Improved Oil Recovery Conference held virtually on April 25 - 29, 2022.
The SPE IOR Pioneer Award aims to distinguish individuals that made significant advancements over the years in improved oil recovery technology. Since its inauguration in 1984, 90 individuals have been awarded the SPE IOR Pioneer Award. The primary requirements for achieving the award are: (1) early and long-term involvement in the development and/or application of IOR technology, (2) industry recognition in the field, and (3) a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers during the IOR activity.
Prof. Patzek has affiliations with the Energy Resources and Petroleum Engineering (ErPE) and Earth Science and Engineering (ErSE) Programs at Physical Science and Engineering Division (PSE) at KAUST and Director of Ali I. Al-Naimi Petroleum Engineering Research Center (ANPERC).
