Congratulations to Professor Nikos Hadjichristidis who has been honored by the NKUA, (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens), with the "Chair's Award of Excellence" for his contribution to research, mentorship, teaching, and administration in Chemistry in Greece.

The Department of Chemistry of NKUA - represented by the Chair of the Department, Prof. Christiana Mitsopoulou, and the Director of the Industrial Chemistry Laboratory, Prof. Hermis Latrou presented the Award and spoke about Hadjichristidis' contributions to chemistry both in the Department and in Greece. 

Professor Nikos Hadjichristidis opened the "Athens Conference on Advances in Chemistry" (Oct 30 to Nov 2) organized by the Chemistry Department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) celebrating the 100 Year Anniversary of the Department, with a Plenary lecture of 45 min entitled "Polyhomologation: A Powerful Tool Towards Well-Defined Polyethylene-Based Polymeric Materials."
