The Mechanical Engineering Program at KAUST currently has thirteen full-time faculty members. Their research focuses on the following areas: combustion and energy, fluid mechanics, materials and solid mechanics, and dynamics and control. 

The Clean Combustion Research Center (CCRC) carries out cutting-edge research on all aspects of combustion from flame study to modeling.​​

FACULTY OPENINGS

We invite qualified applicants to apply for the open faculty positions (below) at all ranks (Assistant, Associate and Full Professor). 
Priority will be given to outstanding faculty candidates with research interests in areas that may enhance and complement the KAUST research centers, including, but not limited to:  Combustion: Advanced internal combustion engine experiments and modeling; advanced theory and modeling of combustion at laboratory and device scales. The faculty members are also expected to be affiliated with the Clean Combustion Research Center (CCRC).​
