The Chemical Science Program is recruiting outstanding, multinational faculty, postdoctoral fellows, research scientists​ and staff to help one of the world's finest teaching and research institutions fulfill its educational and research missions​.

KAUST offers superb research facilities which includes the Analytical,  Nanofabrication and Thin film and the Imaging and Characterization Core Labs, generous assured research funding and internationally competitive salaries.

The Chemical Science Program conducts research on a boroad range of chemistry topics includng those addressed in the KAUST Research Centers, particularly in Catalysis, Membranes and Solar Energy.

Professor of Heterogeneous Catalysis

  • We are looking to recruit a chemist with expertise in photo- and electrocatalysis, operando spectroscopic analysis and characterization. Applicants must also have expertise in catalytic materials and small molecule activation as well as a strong track record in either academia or industry.

    The successful applicant should have an established record of publishing high-impact papers, and is expected to create a thriving research program. Professor of Photo- and/or Electrocatalysis

  • ​We are looking to recruit a chemist with expertise in photo- and electrocatalysis, surface chemistry, operando analysis and characterization. Applicants must also have expertise in photochemical and/or electrochemical catalytic processes relevant to catalytic fuel-forming reactions, solar fuels, solar hydrogen technologies or renewable energy conversion.

Professor of Process System Engineering

  • ​We are looking to recruit a chemical engineer with expertise in material engineering and processing with emphasis on the design, characterization, modification and analysis of sorbent and/or polymeric materials. Applicants must also have expertise in compounding and processing of materials for separation processes and a strong track record in either academia or industry.
