Web of Science presents the list recognizing research scientists who have demonstrated significant and broad influence in a chosen field or fields through the publication of multiple papers – highly cited by their peers – during the past decade.

The highly cited papers are defined as those publications that rank in the top 1% by citations for field and publication year in the Web of Science.
