Abstract:  “Poly(2-vinyl pyridine) (P2VP) was synthesized in different molecular weight in preparation for the synthesis of diblock copolymer consisting of poly(2-vinyl pyridine) (P2VP) and poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF). For this synthesis, two different polymerization methods will be employed, anionic polymerization via high vacuum techniques (HVTs) for the synthesis of (P2VP), and iodine transfer polymerization (ITP) for the synthesis of (PVDF). Solid-state NMR spectroscopy revealed the characteristic peak of (P2VP), while gel permeation chromatography (GPC) results demonstrated the living nature of anionic polymerization.”
