Wael Badeghaish is a Ph.D. candidate in the Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) program within the PSE division at KAUST, working under the supervision of Prof. Gilles Lubineau and co-supervision of Dr. Ahmed Wagih. He earned his BS in electrical engineering from KFUPM in 2009 and his MS in MSE from the Catholic University of America in 2014. Starting his Ph.D. at KAUST in 2020, sponsored by Saudi Aramco, his research focuses on polymer aging in harsh environments, particularly in the oil and gas environment. He investigates how these conditions affect the mechanical, thermal, and morphological properties of PEEK to optimize their performance and applications. Before joining KAUST, Wael Badeghaish gained several years of experience working at SABIC and Aramco EXPEC ARC.
